The Woodbourne Adventure Sports Club have extended an invite to members of the Marlborough Harrier Club to attend a weekend in the St Arnaud area.
Please read the information sheets attached. Dip Flat Weekend 5-6 August 2023
Saturday everyone meet at the Rainbow Ski Field turnoff at 11 am (approx 1.5 hrs drive from Blenheim so leave about 10 am). We will then carpool and travel to the Howard Valley/Porika Track start point. The walk/run/MTB is approx 9 km and finishes at Lake Rotoroa which is renowned for the dreaded mosquito. For those wanting to run/MTB further they can be dropped off at the Howard Valley/SH63 intersection making the run approx 15 km. Vehicles will then travel around to Lake Rotoroa to uplift everyone. Once everyone has completed the walk/run/MTB to Lake Rotoroa and is accounted for, those who wish will make our way to Dip Flat (Defence Force training camp) for an overnight stay. Shared pot luck dinner.
Sunday run/walk/cycle in planning at this stage, including longer and shorter distances.
We will all depart Dip Flat at approx 1 pm and travel back to Blenheim.
It is encouraged to check with fellow club members and carpool where possible.
Please advise Allister Leach (021 159 0678) if you are attending.
