Kaituna Ridges Farm is an outstanding property just out of Havelock, reaching up from the edges of the Pelorus Sound estuary to the rock outcrops of the steep hillsides above Kaituna Valley.
This is no ordinary farm, having featured on Country Calendar in 2016 and more recently this year, and is a past winner of the Marlborough Environmental Awards. The 800 hectares of rolling green pasture is set amongst large areas of native bush. Wetlands are being restored and the bush is protected. Looking down from the ridges you can see the peaceful Kaituna River winding its way towards the Pelorus Sound, the Richmond Ranges to the south, and the stunning Queen Charlotte Sound to the north – every turn on the track will give you a different view.
This is your only chance each year to experience this wonderful Kaituna jewel. Whether you fancy a challenging run, walk or mountain bike grab this opportunity and participate in this fundraising event.

This is the reason to come and run with the Harriers Club as we get access to private land on which to run events. Come along to this run and bring your camera. A Grand Old Duke of York course (i.e. when you are up, you are up and when you are down, you are down) but finishing flat and fast depending on your selected course. Superb views that very few will have seen before. Courses are planned for Walkers (5-6 km) and 3 runner courses. 5-6 km, 8ish km and an outstanding 10ish km.
Directions
From SH1 at Tuamarina Historic Rest Area (The Wairau Incident) turn onto Bush Road heading West. At the first T intersection turn right onto Parkes Road. At the End of Parkes Road stop at the sign “Windermere Equestrian”. From here we will go over private land in convoy. The Convoy will leave Parkes Road at 1PM sharp! Any car will be fine to get to the start.
Post run/walk stay for a chat over afternoon tea. Please bring a plate to share with others.
Come along and there is a strong possibility of a pit stop at the Grovetown Tavern on the way home for a lemonade.
