SUMMARY:Ure to Awatere Run
DESCRIPTION:An earlier start for this event (12.00 pm). \n\nAll interested runners/walkers to meet at the Barnes Farm\, Marathon Downs\, 737 Marama Road\, Seddon (Look for the Harrier sign) at 12:00 ready for shuttle buses to transport all to the Ure Valley at 12.15.  We have van seats for 20ish including drivers.  If we get more than that then we will do more trips with the long runners heading off first. \n\n\nThis track is a Start to Finish run\, so vans will shuttle to the start and will have multiple pick ups from approx 4km point along the route depending on the distance you want to run. \n\n\nThe event will follow a track with multiple creek crossings (bring your running gumboots or your best rock hopping if you want dry feet). \n\n\nFrom this point people can choose to do any distance they chose and flag down a van when they have had enough\, but this is a beautiful course and expect most will not be picked up before 6 to 8km\, including the walkers.  The full course runs back to the Barnes Farm. \n\n\nPost run/walk stay for a chat over afternoon tea. Please bring a plate to share with others.

DESCRIPTION:This is the first inter club race for the season. It is over a 9km cross country course. \nThe more members from Marlborough the better chance we have of bringing the shield over the hill.\nTo get there travel over the Whangamoa Hill until you get to Hira School\, Hira Garage and Dairy then the turnoff is on your right.\nAllow plenty of time to get there. 2.00pm for 2.30pm start. It is traditionally cold so take warm gear. \nStay and enjoy Nelson hospitality afterwards.
