Margaret competed in the Hanmer Holiday Homes Alpine Marathon on the weekend with distinction. The course goes from Lake Tennyson to Hanmer.
Her time was 3 hrs 37 min 41 sec which put her in first place Veteran Female 60 – 69 beating her time of last year by 14 minutes. Overall she was 2nd female home beaten by Bridget Thompson of Dunedin whose time was very smart in 3 hrs 5 mins 37 sec.
In the total field Margaret was 12th home.
