An earlier start for this event (12.00 pm).
Meet at Flaxbourne A&P Showgrounds (Ward Domain) at 12:00 ready for shuttle buses to transport all to the Ure Valley at 12.15. We have van seats for 20ish including drivers. If we get more than that then we will do more trips with the long runners heading off first.
This track is a Start to Finish run, so vans will shuttle to the start and will have multiple pick ups along the route depending on the distance you want to run. The shortest distance is 3.7km.
Run/walk will commence at 12.30. The event will follow a track with multiple creek crossings (bring your running gumboots or your best rock hopping if you want dry feet).
As said, the shortest run/walk is 3.7km and is flat and fast apart from a sharp pinch of 200m at 3.5km.
The vans will do pick ups from this point as they will drive around via the roads to the top end of Pegioh Road.
From this point people can choose to do any distance they chose and flag down a van when they have had enough, but this is a beautiful course and expect most will not be picked up before 6 to 8km, including the walkers. The full course runs back to Ward and SH1 and is 22km with a little undulation.
